Who is Michelle?

Hello there! First off, thanks for checking out my passion for photography.

You may be here because you are looking for a birth photographer.  Or you may be here because I was recommended for a newborn session.  Or maybe its just time to update those family photos! Either way, I am here ready to capture those moments for you.

I grew up in the Auburn, Indiana area and have a huge passion for my community. I love growing as a business women, and take pride in knowing that my small town, has a big heart. You may often find me out and about capturing our wonderful little community.

While most of my career background has been in the medical field, including several years as a nursing assistant in a birthing center, I have always been a lover of photography. The way natural light falls and illuminates my subject is truly inspiring, and I love capturing the significant moments in people’s lives. In 2014, I decided to leave behind my work in the medical field and make my passion my full-time career. I am so fortunate to be doing what I love, all while providing for my beautiful, spunky 6-year-old daughter. (She has the biggest blue eyes and gorgeous ginger hair! And yes, she is spicy, to say the least!) I recently tied the knot with the love of my life and we are preparing to build a bigger family!!

I am a self-taught photographer who is constantly learning new techniques and ways to better serve my clients. I shoot in full manual mode with my Nikon (I’m definitely a Nikon girl!) and edit images in Photoshop. I offer a wide range of sessions including, but not limited to, Engagement, Family, Senior, and Newborn. By far, my favorite experience is documenting Birth Stories. Capturing the love and endurance between support teams and mommies is incredible, and I absolutely love to witness the divine first few moments of a baby’s life. I am currently a proud member of the International Association of Professional Birth Photographers. I am also working towards being a certified Birth Photographer from Birth Becomes Her.
